risk disclosure

indicative effective date — 2026-08-17

this document exists because algorithmic trading is not a lower-risk version of trading — it is a different-risk version. the platform gives you leverage over your own execution; that leverage cuts in both directions, and the failure modes are not always intuitive. you are asked to read and accept this before any live deployment. the platform will not permit you to deploy live capital without a recorded acceptance.

market risk

every trading strategy carries the risk of loss. losses can and do exceed initial capital in leveraged products, including F&O. historical backtest performance — however impressive — is not a prediction of future performance. two backtest results with the same equity curve can have very different real-world outcomes.

model risk

strategies generated with the AI codegen tool are software. software has bugs, and the tests you can run before deployment cover the conditions you thought to test — not every condition the market can produce. the platform requires a backtest and encourages paper trading and shadow trading before live, but no amount of testing eliminates model risk.

execution risk

orders are routed via SEBI-compliant broker APIs. brokers can and do experience outages, latency, rejected orders and partial fills. the platform reconciles against broker state every 60 seconds and on every restart, but between events there can be a gap between what the strategy believes to be true and what actually happened. the rationale trail exists so you can reconstruct events afterward.

expiry and physical settlement (india, F&O)

in-the-money stock F&O settles physically. this creates a delivery obligation and a margin spike that a poorly designed strategy will not have planned for. the platform monitors expiry-week positions, projects margin, warns unmissably and can auto-square-off before the settlement window. you are responsible for confirming the auto-square-off configuration on every deployment that could hold a position into expiry week.

market halts and stale data

trading halts, circuit breakers and broker disconnects mid-position can happen. when the platform cannot verify that its market feed is current, it halts the affected strategy and alerts you — rather than acting on data it cannot trust. you may occasionally see a strategy halt for reasons that appear cosmetic. treat those halts as signals to investigate, not to bypass.

corporate actions

splits, bonuses, mergers, buybacks and rights issues on an open position adjust quantity and cost basis under a running strategy. the platform detects the action, adjusts the position, notifies you, and tells the strategy what it now sees. verify that the strategy's logic is compatible with adjusted history before you deploy on instruments with imminent corporate actions.

connectivity, kill switch and reconciliation

the kill switch is per-strategy, per-account and global; it is reachable in two taps on mobile. use it. if platform connectivity is lost, reconciliation on reconnect will bring the platform's view of your positions in line with the broker's view; where there is a discrepancy, the broker's view is authoritative.

tax and legal

the tax module computes and evidences; it does not file, and it does not give tax advice. every export carries a "for review by a qualified professional" header and the rule version used. you are responsible for filing.

your acknowledgement

by accepting this disclosure at the point of live deployment, you confirm that you have read the risks above, that you understand that no risk can be eliminated by software, and that you accept responsibility for the trading decisions taken by strategies you deploy through the platform.
